The exhibition from the cycle Masters of Polish Poster presented oeuvre of Maciej Urbaniec ? recently passed away one of the creators of polish poster school. His art played a prominent part in poster creation of the 70ies. Exhibition presented 170 posters, 14 projects, sketches, illustrations, covers, books, stamps, tags, sculptures and music instruments done by the artist. Maciej Jerzy Zdzieblan-Urbaniec, born: 1.09.1925 in Zwierzyniec, died: 19.05.2004 in Nowy Sącz. 1952-54 ? studies in National High School of Fine Arts in Wrocław, 1954-58 ? studies at Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the Departament of Graphics and Poster led by Professor Henryk Tomaszewski, 1970-1975 ? assistant professor in the Departament of Graphic Design in National High School of Fine Arts in Wrocław; 1975-1995 ? Director of the Department of Graphic Design at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts; Member of AGI; his works are placed in many museums around the world and private collections.
