Poster and Refined Living
Main Gallery 3. - 26.10.2003
The exhibition was aimed at recreating the atmosphere of the life of social and artistic elites of the end of 19th and first half of 20th century as well as at brining it closer for the young generations. It was a show of both Polish and foreign posters (160 items) coming from the collection of the Poster Museum, depicting vignettes of "refined living" by the year 1939 and postcards (over 300) and other prints from a private collection of Magdalena Ciesielska. Additional highlights were the props and keepsakes that remained after the great stage artists and 28 photograms from a photographic archive of Jerzy Benedykt Dorys. Exhibition Curator: Magdalena Ciesielska
