Read and Watch − Polish Literature in Cinema
Main Gallery 10.03. - 14.04.2003
From the beginnings of the cinema, the literature has fascinated and moved the imagination of film creators and the poster, in turn, inextricably accompanied the film from the moment the first cinematograph came to life. The exhibition of the Poster Museum at Wilanów collection presented 170 posters based on Polish literature. The exhibition was opened by Tadeusz Gronowski`s poster of Trędowata ["Leper"] based on a novel by Helena Mniszek (1926) and closed by a colourful photografhic poster of Zemsta ["Revenge"], a film based on a comedy play by Aleksander Fredro (2002). Exhibition Curator: Hanna Konopińska-Łachut
